Project Description
Base Backpackers Brisbane Central (formerly Palace Backpackers), a heritage listed building in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, has retrofit most of their common areas with Polaris spotlights and Procyon globes replacing their old and inefficient halogen and CFL technology.
Externally half their HID wallwashers have also been replaced with our Nebula series with stunning results in both efficiency and performance. In the newly renovated bar the Guilty Rogue, square corona panels can be seen lighting up the bar and main seating area. The panels are the first of their kind installed in Brisbane which emit blue light over patrons and staff.
XBase Brisbane Central is looking at upgrading other lighting throughout the lobby to more energy efficient LED Corona Panels which will generate better light output and reduce the heat load above the staff. They have recently installed our Nebula Wall Washer lights to highlight the external walls of the building in vibrant colour.
